Parking Facilities
Project: Multi-Modal Transfer Facility Phase I
Client: Southeast Missouri State University
Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Strickland Engineering is providing the civil site design as a subconsultant to HNTB Corporation for the proposed $12 million project.  Phase I of the project includes an access road connecting the transfer facility and Show-Me Center parking lots to the existing city street.  Strickland Engineering is responsible for design of the access road, driveways, storm drainage, stormwater management, and utility connections to the facility. Project: Parking Lot Improvements
Client: Nell Holcomb School District
Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
The project involved the design of an access drive for buses and 32-space employee parking lot totaling 2,484 square yards of concrete pavement with a construction cost of $57,324.  Strickland Engineering prepared the construction documents, provided bid phase services, and will provide construction phase services.

Project: Site Improvements
Client: Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital
Location: Ste. Genevieve, Missouri
The project involved the design of a driveway and 20-space employee parking lot totaling 1,314 square yards of asphalt and concrete pavement.  Also included was construction of a concrete pad and relocation of electric service for a mobile MRI unit that comes to the hospital two times per week.  The construction cost of the project was $49,855.

Project: Parking Lot Improvements
Client: First Baptist Church
Location: Jackson, Missouri
The project involved the design of 2 parking lots with a total of 71 spaces totaling 2,974 square yards of concrete pavement with a segmental retaining wall.  The construction cost of the project was $93,162.

Client: Jackson Ridge Estates Subdivision
Location: Jackson, Missouri
Planning and design of a 128 lot residential subdivision in the City of Jackson.  Phase I of the subdivision contained 3,473 feet of sanitary sewer.  Phase II contained 640 feet of sanitary sewer.

Project: Sanitary Sewer Extension
Client: Cold Creek Estates Subdivision
Location: Jackson, Missouri
Planning and design of a 72 lot residential subdivision in the City of Jackson.  Phase I of the subdivision contained 6,387 feet of sanitary sewer.

Project: Cambridge Estates Trunk Sewer
Client: City of Jackson
Location: Jackson, Missouri
Strickland Engineering provided the planning and design of a new pump station and trunk sewer extension to serve a developing watershed in the City of Jackson.  The project consisted of 1,814 feet of sanitary sewer, 2,126 feet of force main, and a pump station.

Project: Rosewood Interceptor Sewer

This project extended gravity sewer from the Cambridge Estates Trunk Sewer and and eliminated an existing grinder pump station.

Planning and design of an 8 lot commercial subdivision in the City of Jackson.  The project includes extension of the City sewer system to the property and replacement of the existing pump station serving the watershed.

Stormwater
Project: Commercial Street Channel Improvements
Client: City of Cape Girardeau
Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Strickland Engineering provided design and construction phase services for the project that consisted of the improvement of approximately 1,600 feet of drainage channel from South Kingshighway to the confluence with Cape LaCroix Creek.  Construction included earthwork, a new box culvert, addition of wingwalls to the existing box culvert, concrete channel protection, concrete slope protection, and asphalt pavement.

Project: Market Street Drainage Study
Client: City of Ste. Genevieve
Location: Ste. Genevieve, Missouri
Strickland Engineering performed a study of a watershed in which the City was experiencing problems.  Services included conducting a field survey, determining the capacity of the existing storm sewer system, and proposing improvements with construction cost estimates.

Transportation
Project: Deerwood Drive Preliminary Alignment
Client: City of Jackson
Location: Jackson, Missouri
Strickland Engineering provided a preliminary horizontal alignment of Deerwood Drive from US Highway 61 to Greensferry Road.  Deerwood Drive is a collector street on the City’s major street plan that will serve as a northern bypass connecting Greensferry Road, US Highway 61, and MO Route D.  The City was able to obtain right-of-way for the eastern half of the US Highway 61/Deerwood Drive intersection as part of a friendly annexation.

Project: International Subdivision Street Improvements
Client: City of Ste. Genevieve
Location: Ste. Genevieve, Missouri
Strickland Engineering provided preliminary engineering to develop a phasing plan to develop a capital improvements program to replace approximately 7,881 lineal feet of existing street pavements within the subdivision.  The improvements will include construction of a 32-feet wide pavement section and stormwater drainage.

Approximately 2,800 feet in length from South Kingshighway to Silver Springs Road. Construction of a 48-feet wide concrete pavement section, storm water drainage, storm water detention, and modifications to the existing signalized intersection at South Kingshighway. View more information

Project: Independence Street Reconstruction
Client: City of Cape Girardeau
Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Strickland Engineering provided design to the City of Cape Girardeau for the reconstruction of approximately 1,000 feet of pavement from Pacific Street to Sprigg Street. The contract was bid for curb and gutter replacement, asphalt overlay, and sidewalk replacement. An alternate to the contract was bid to allow for complete replacement of the existing pavement with 7'' thick concrete pavement. The alternate bid was accepted by the City. The Pacific Street intersection was reconstructed to improve pavement grades. Additional inlets were added to improve pavement drainage and the signals were relocated.

Project: Wastewater Treatment and Collection System
Client: Village of Oak Ridge, Missouri
Location: Oak Ridge, Missouri
Strickland Engineering is providing engineering services for a wastewater treatment and collection system to provide a new wastewater system to the Village.  The collection system will consist of approximately a pressure sewer system with 100 residential grinder pump units and a pump station for the public school facilities.  The treatment system will consist of a recirculating pea gravel filter. Client: Woodlands Subdivision
Location: Stoddard County, Missouri
Planning and design of a recirculating filter wastewater treatment and collection system to serve a 65 lot residential subdivision in Stoddard County.  The system is designed for 18,038 gallons per day and includes a 18,038 gallon recirculating tank, a 80’x46’ filter bed, and a variable grade septic tank effluent gravity collection sewer.

Location: Cape Girardeau County, Missouri
Planning and design of a recirculating filter wastewater treatment and collection system to serve a 40 lot residential subdivision in Cape Girardeau County.  The system is designed for 14,920 gallons per day and includes a 14,920 gallon septic tank, a 29,840 gallon recirculating tank, a 50’x60’ filter bed, and 4,568 feet of sanitary sewer.

Planning and design of a recirculating filter wastewater treatment and collection system to serve a 60 lot residential subdivision in Cape Girardeau County.  The system is designed for 16,650 gallons per day and includes a 16,650 gallon septic tank, a 33,300 gallon recirculating tank, (2) 40’x42’ filter beds, and 5,647 feet of sanitary sewer.

Planning and design of a facultative lagoon wastewater treatment system to serve the new high school.  The system is designed for 10,500 gallons per day and included a three-cell lagoon, grinder pump station and 875 feet of force main.

Client: Clover Hill Estates
Location: Cape Girardeau County, Missouri
Planning and design of a recirculating filter wastewater treatment and collection system to serve a 102 lot residential subdivision in Cape Girardeau County.  The system is designed for 14,430 gallons per day and includes a 28,860 gallon septic tank, a 14,430 gallon recirculating tank, (2) 50’x60’ filter beds, and 3,855 feet of sanitary sewer.
